AAC Drop-in Location

Starting this week the Library will host an Academic Achievement Center Drop-in Location on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 - 12:30. An AAC tutor will be available to answer your questions and to set-up tutoring appointments. Try it out today!

Karen Joy Fowler

In place of this month's regular Book Group discussion the Library hosted a Meet the Author event with Karen Joy Fowler, author of The Jane Austen Book Club. Our Reading Area was filled with guests who heard Ms. Fowler talk about everything from her novels to what it's like to have one's book made into a movie. The popular local band added some spice to our last 2nd Friday Musical Interlude of the semester with some of their signature instrumental pieces. 2nd Friday Musical Interludes will be back next semester and will be added to our Events Calendar as they are arranged.

Zero Visibility String Band

Featuring Daniel Nestlerode, Meg Eshom and Ken Van De Kieft playing various stringed instruments, this event was a treat. As usual, the music started at noon and went for about an hour.

Nate Frazier performed his signature classical and jazz keyboard in the Library last Friday for our first 2nd Friday Musical Interlude event of the semester. Future 2nd Friday performers include The Zero Visibility String Band on October 12th (noon to 1pm) and Jam, Jelly and Salsa on November 9th (noon-1pm).
