Peter Jenkins tells of his adventures walking across the United States. After this jaunt he apparently couldn't stop walking, as he went on a second long walk in the US (chronicled in The Walk West) followed by yet another walk, this time across China (that book was called, aptly, Across China). That's a lot of walking.
